Used Car Dealerships in Toronto
When it comes to used car dealerships, I can’t say enough about the used cars Toronto has on its lots. I also can’t say enough about how great my experience was last weekend when I bought my first car.
I had been saving up money for years. I’m not even kidding. Years. I’d been getting by with taking public transportation to and from class and then, after graduation, work. So, I figured, why buy a car now? What I did was I made myself a car payment. Every month, I put $25 into a savings account for a down payment. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot. But, as a student, I didn’t have a lot of money to spare. I didn’t have much to spare when I got an intern position or an entry level position either. Like I said, I saved for years.
As time went on, I got more and more experience under my belt and started applying for jobs that were a little better. It took a while but I finally got an offer. But the job was on the other side of the city. Now, that’s not really a huge deal, but it meant that using public transport would be a bit hairier because I’d have to switch buses and make exchanges. Honestly, I get anxious about that stuff.
The other option was to move but that seemed impractical. So, I broke out my car fund and decided to make my move. I was so nervous because I’d been saving this money for so long and liked looking at the account as seeing how big it had grown.
But it was time. The dealership I went to was amazing! So helpful, so honest. Seriously! I never felt pressured once. They answered every question I had and gave me an extended warranty for free. There was no way I could turn that down. So, I did it. I bought my little green coupe and I love her so much. I named her Kermit.
You know what’s funny? I like to look at Kermit more than I ever liked to look at the money piling up in that account. It felt really good to set a goal and then actually reach it. Thanks to professionalism of the used car dealerships Toronto has to offer, buying my first car was an amazing experience.
Also unrelated story, but originally my family lived in Georgia. This may not seem important but it is. When the time came to buy car insurance my dad lost his mind when he learned how much I would be paying. Cheap car insurance in ga would have cost maybe 30% of what I’m paying now. I’m paying 3x what I would be paying in georgia. My dad can’t let that go. Especially since I bought some very cheap car insurance no deposit. He said with what I’m paying I should be getting the best full coverage insurance not very cheap car insurance with no deposit.
Well too bad dad, we don’t live in Georgia anymore!
