Another provision of the Lord came during this time when we were directed to the Oldham Little Church Foundation.  Their ministry is to assist small churches and they responded to our inquiry by offering us a $5,000 grant for the purchase of 200 chairs for the new auditorium.  This was contingent on our raising the remaining $3,000 and covering the delivery before October of 2000.  God would have to make time and money wed.  A gift of $1,074 from a pastor in North Carolina for this project resulted on May 4, 2000 from an appeal letter Pastor Miller sent out.  This process, though tedious and humbling, became one of the means God used to complete the building.

The Miller’s BIMI field director, John Bailes, confirmed the credibility of further appeal letters by supplying Pastor Miller with BIMI’s mailing list of supporting churches from various states.

About 500 tracts and fliers were distributed  door to door that spring.  Attendance at the Resurrection service was 46.  One response to this effort was someone we affectionately dubbed “truck man”.  This fellow would arrive on a given Sunday morning in his pick up and whoever happened into the parking lot he would hand to them an envelope which usually contained $10-20 each time.  And there were souls saved.
