Piney Grove Baptist Church Brings Much Need Help

	In June of 1999, Pastor Smith brought his people out including a master electrician and plumber. The hours these professionals contributed that week probably would have cost us close to $10,000 if we had to hire it done. The Georgia group helped make the necessary change in the stairway to accommodate a shaft for a needed wheelchair lift. They also roughed in plumbing for water and electrical conduit in the basement and to the outlets in the auditorium. They framed in the floor of the platform and moved three windows. Insulation was also installed in the upstairs auditorium. They spent over $3,000 of their own money to purchase the materials needed and their hard labor of love resulted in our getting the “inspection to cover” approval for the upstairs. God’s timing is always right as He brought another gift at this time to purchase drywall for this area. It was put up during the remaining summer and fall. And Brother Havener came in again to spray texture the drywall after Pastor Miller had primed it. So the work had begun seriously, but would take on a pattern of Pastor Miller and whoever would lend a hand, diligently praying in and then installing, nail by nail, board by board whatever the Lord would bring us. No doubt Pastor Miller’s eyes have seen and his hands have touched nearly every corner and cranny of this building.
