Men for Missions

There were always unexpected or forgotten
requirements that were brought to our attention, but God always supplied
for each of these. Sometime in the fall of 2000, home school friends
allowed us to dismantle an old deck off their home and gave us the
lumber. Following God's example, who rearranges molecules to His
purposes (Isaiah 65:17), we took this lumber and fashioned a covered
deck on the back of the church required to provide an escape from the
upstairs auditorium to the outside. Often this was the Lord’s way of
providing, either with lower prices or a different method of
installation, or a gift of materials from others.

Meanwhile, Pastor Miller continued to generate
appeal letters from his office PC computer printer(s) and God continued
to work. In May of 2001, Target America, a ministry of the Freedom
Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, offered to purchase and install the
ceiling tile (almost $2,800) which was stretched because the Lord
provided a much discounted price on the materials ($1.64/tile for $.49)
for the new auditorium and install the drywall which had been provided
by an earlier gift for the basement. The six men actually arrived
Saturday, May 19 at 12:45 p.m. Some of our men had already moved the
delivered drywall into the building for installation and after an
initial survey by the volunteers the work was begun immediately.
July 6, 2001, we sold the pews from the downstairs
auditorium to the Lutheran Church in Boulder, MT. We received $1950,
and after paying $250 to the man who had found the buyer, we used the
remaining funds to purchase and install an electrical entrance box for
the new building, an issue over which the Church had split years earlier
because money designated for that purpose had been spent otherwise. By
November, probably 15 years later, the installation would be
accomplished and God could move us to another level of the completion
process. We could now pray about furnaces, which would open the way for
finishing the lighting and installing the plumbing.
