Pastor's side kick!. Don came to Grace Baptist after Mrs. Sally Foster had chided him about his domino playing ways on Sunday Morning. Pastor and Candy visited in his home and he continued to come on a irregular basis. Finally during a prayer meeting before a revival meeting Don requested prayer, "Pastor pray that I will get saved at the invitation tonight" To make a long story short, Pastor lead Don to the Lord right then a there. In the following days Don, said he wanted to work in the church and soon had assumed the role of caretake and handiman. He was always there and love the preaching of the word. When he went home to be with the Lord we decided to make the pulpit the "Don Parks Memorial Pulpit" because of his love for the Word of God.

The Don Parks Memorial pulpit during the finishing stages, This Pulpit was built with fund left behind when Don went home to the be with His Lord.

The pulpit is designed so that by the turning of two bolts inside the bottom of the pulpit wheels are lowered and the 350# pulpit can be moved easily on the platform.
